It has been a while, but it appears we can finally say the Nissan Pathfinder has found its true purpose in this world; the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder version has confirmed it at long last. As a CUV, it is without equal, offering an abundance of space on the inside, for a relatively decent price and packed into a neat little package, including a hybrid version for those who believe they can stop the global warming. And let us not forget the CVT, which is probably half the reason people buy these things.
2015 Nissan Pathfinder Exterior
On the outside, the Nissan Pathfinder 2015 looks well-balanced. The new curves in the body design add to its aesthetics as well as aerodynamics. It is, however, surprisingly tall, even for its class, and it shows. It has a new, chromed grille and redesigned fenders.
The overall dimensions haven’t changed, though and as far as the exterior goes, there have not been any major changes in this model, at least.
Nissan Pathfinder 2015 Interior
Unfortunately, the interior of the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder looks a bit underwhelming; not because of its materials, though. Those are top-notch, with the finest upholstery and comfortable seats. No, it is the color selection that kills the mood. That and plastics. The awful colors and lots of plastics on the important areas really take some points from what would otherwise be a fairly solid cabin. What saves some serious face is the handling and the overall driving experience. Luckily, when you are behind the steering wheel, you can’t afford to focus on the indoor materials, but the handling is incredible, especially for a seven-seat CUV.
And the other six seats can show a good time for the occupant as well. The redesigned infotainment system got that covered. We are talking about a 3-zone entertainment system with two 7-inch screens capable of handling DVDs, games and anything else that kids nowadays require staying off your back while driving. Plus, the 2015 Pathfinder is as spacious as ever, which means even full-bodied passengers will not find it too cramped. Except the third row, but that is for kids anyway. The reason why handling is so smooth lies in the reduced weight of the vehicle coupled with a new hydraulic-electric steering system. In addition to better seats, voice recognition, and Bluetooth streaming audio, there is the Navigation System with traffic information that is going to be a lifesaver in the long run.
Nissan Pathfinder Engine
The powertrain selection for the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder consists of a 260-horsepower, 3.5 L V-6 engine, coupled with CVT and front-wheel drive.
The CVT is doing wonders for fuel economy as well as engine performance in general. The all-wheel drive is optional, along with advanced navigation and the Around View Monitor.
2015 Nissan Pathfinder Release Date and Price
