2015 Mazda CX-3 Review

The 2015 Mazda CX-3 will join the fast-growing SUV segment soon. The vehicle will offer its potential customers a wide array of choices including three trim levels, fuel efficient engine, FWD and AWD drive systems, and a bunch of technological gizmos for a safe, convenient, and amusing drive. The 2015 Mazda CX-3 debuted in LA where the audience had an opportunity to see a small and cool model which embraces both Skyactive technology and the newborn KODO design language. Its main rival will be Honda CR-V. The 2015 Mazda CX-3 will hit the market with the bold and attractive exterior. It will be the sharpest and probably the most dynamic vehicle in its niche and beyond. The front end of the car is decorated with a prominent grille and sharp headlamps. Thanks to the short overhangs and contrasting lower cladding, the vehicle looks contemporary and stylish at the same time.

It is available in three trim levels. The least expensive, and yet decently equipped trim is Sport, the mid-range trim level is Touring, and the top-notch of the trims armed to the teeth with latest technological features is Grand Touring. The top-of-the-line trim rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and features taillights and headlights with LED technology, while the other two ride on 16-inch alloys.

The youthful character of the CX-3 continues in the cabin which is dressed up in high-quality soft-touch materials including standard cloth or optional leather. Standard convenience features include an audio system with six speakers, internet radio, rearview camera, push-button start, etc. The CX-3 Touring is nicely equipped, and it includes heated seats, keyless entry, rear cross traffic alert, etc.

Mazda CX-3 Engine

The 2015 Mazda CX-3 is offered with only one engine option. It is the same powerplant which ensures power for the CX-5 and Mazda 3. As for the output figures, the engine generates 146 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque. Customers can opt for both AWD and FWD. The engine is backed up by a 6-speed automatic gearbox which features manual shifting.

For an outstanding driving experience, the carmaker offers steering wheel mounted paddles in the top-of-the-line Grand Touring trim level which increases vehicle’s potential and acts like a real manual mode and holds the shifts as long as the driver himself wants. The front-wheel Drive CX-3 is rated at 29 mpg city and 35 mpg highway, while the model with AWD drops the figures of 27 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.
