2015 Jaguar F-Pace Review Specs

Every automaker at the moment is trying to conquer the SUV segment and F-Pace is Jaguar’s attempt in doing so. This model has been showcased at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show and the reaction was great. And they did it pretty well, the reactions were great as it has a spacious and well-equipped interior, several engine options and the lowest CO₂.

Exterior design

As for the exterior, this car comes with a typical SUV design. Many parts of the car have the same design cues like in other Jaguar models, such as the design of the headlights or the grille.

Interior design

The interior of the new 2015 Jaguar F-Pace is luxurious and spacious. It can provide comfort up to five adults. These sporty seats are covered with leather materials and they come with 14 different adjustments, along with heating and cooling functions. The rear seats can be folded, providing 61.4 cubic feet of the cargo area, while without folding, the cargo area has 23.3 cubic feet of cargo.

The car has the same instrument panel as the inside of the XF and the XE sedans. The dashboard comes equipped with an FT display and two analogue gauges. A larger 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster is available as an optional feature. The car is equipped with numerous 12V charging points, USB ports, and cubbyholes.

The new Jaguar F-Pace will come with several engine options which are actually borrowed from the XE and the XF models. The good news for the U.S. buyers is that they will have an opportunity to choose between a 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 and a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines. Another very important news is that this new F-Pace has the lowest CO₂ in its class. Good to know.

The base diesel unit is able to deliver 180 hp and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the power goes through a six-speed manual transmission and it has RWD system as standard. This engine can come with AWD system and an eight-speed automatic transmission, but it is available as an optional feature. The car will also come with two 3.0-liter V-6 engine options.

One is petrol and another one is diesel. Both of these engines have AWD system and an eight-speed automatic gearbox, coming as standard. The diesel has 296 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque, while the petrol comes with 375 hp and 332 pound-feet of torque. Furthermore, this engine is the first supercharged unit in the F-type and it will need 5.1 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, while its top speed is 155 mph.

Price

The price for the entry-level F-Pace is $41.985, which is quite affordable in this segment. The price will go up, since this car comes in five trim levels. The main rivals to this new SUV are Audi Q5, Porsche Macan and BMW X3. As you can see, the car will have quite fierce competition.
